Terms
Version 2026-10-19, the date these terms last changed.
What this is
Dispatch Tycoon is a browser game built and run by one developer, and it is in beta. It is unfinished, it changes often, and it can break. Using it means accepting that.
Your account
- You must be at least 13, or the age of digital consent where you live if that is higher.
- One account per person. You are responsible for what happens under yours.
- Keep your password to yourself, and do not reuse one from elsewhere.
What you may not do
- Use the game for anything illegal, or to harass anyone.
- Try to break the game, overload it, or work around its limits.
- Automate play, script the API, or run more than one account to gain an advantage in the shared economy.
- Sell or trade accounts, or exchange anything in the game for real money outside it.
Beta, and your progress
Your progress may be reset. Economies need tuning and balance mistakes need fixing, and during beta the honest answer is that a wipe is possible. Any reset will be announced beforehand.
The game is free to play. Tokens, an in-game currency that skips waiting and nothing else, can be bought; see below.
Buying tokens
Tokens only skip waiting. Anything they buy can also be reached by playing, and nothing else in the game is for sale. The price is shown before you pay and is in addition to VAT, which is added at checkout. The sale is made through Stripe, who are the seller of record, and your card details go to them, not to us.
Tokens are credited when the payment is confirmed. All purchases of in-game tokens, currency, or virtual goods are final and non-refundable once the tokens are credited to your account. By completing this purchase, you consent to the immediate delivery of digital content and acknowledge that you forfeit any statutory right of withdrawal. If a payment is taken and the tokens do not arrive, tell us on the Discord and it will be looked into.
Donations, including support given through Ko-fi, and purchases of tokens are made entirely at your own responsibility. A donation is a gift that buys nothing in the game. Neither a donation nor a token purchase is ever refunded.
Tokens are credit for the game only, never money. They have no cash value, cannot be transferred between accounts, and cannot be exchanged for anything outside the game. When a world is reset, tokens you have bought come with you; free tokens do not. Tokens bought through a chargeback or a payment that is later reversed may be removed.
What is not promised
The service is provided as is, with no guarantee of uptime. It runs on hardware in one location and depends on outside services for maps and routing, any of which can be unavailable.
To the extent the law allows, liability is limited to what you have paid. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and if you are a consumer in the EEA your statutory rights are unaffected.
Ending it
You can stop at any time and ask for your account to be deleted. An account that breaks these terms may be suspended. If the game shuts down for good there will be notice first.
The map
Map data is OpenStreetMap, used under the Open Database Licence, and is copyright OpenStreetMap contributors. Real places appear because the map is real; nothing here is affiliated with, or endorsed by, any of them.
Company names, trademarks, and real-world addresses appearing on transport orders are used solely for real-world simulation accuracy and spatial identification. Dispatch Tycoon is an independent simulation game and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any company referenced in the game.
Fuel prices
Diesel prices in the game follow national averages: Statistics Norway and Statistics Finland for those two countries, and for Sweden and Denmark the European Commission Weekly Oil Bulletin as published by fuel-prices.eu (CC BY 4.0).
Cookies
Dispatch Tycoon sets only the cookies it needs to work, and none for advertising or for following you around the web, which is why there is no cookie banner. Using the game means accepting these.
- Sign-in (
haulify_session). Keeps you signed in. The game cannot run signed in without it. Removed when you sign out, and expires after 30 days. - Language (
lang). Remembers the language you picked, for a year. It is set only when you choose a language, and the game works without it by following your browser's language. - Demo visitor (
dt_demo_visitor). Set only if you press Demo. A random number with no name in it, kept for 90 days, so that we can count how many people who tried the demo went on to sign up.
The game also keeps a few display choices in your browser's own storage: how tall the map is, which panels are folded, your filters on the job board, and which chat messages you have read. These stay on your device and are not sent to us. You can delete cookies and stored data in your browser's settings at any time; the only effect is that you will be signed out and the choices above reset.
Law
Norwegian law applies. If you are a consumer, you keep the protections of the law where you live that cannot be waived.
